Schistosomiasis Life Cycle Course

The Biomedical Research Institute offers a semiannual Schistosoma spp. Life Cycle Training Course that focuses on maintenance of Schistosoma spp. life cycles. Originally focusing on S. mansoni only, the course has recently expanded to include S. haematobium and S. japonicum. Schistosomiasis Molecular Training Course The next course is scheduled for December 6-8, 2017  “Gene Editing of Adult Schistosomes by CRISPR/cas” The Schistosomiasis Resource Center Molecular Training Course, “Gene Editing of Adult Schistosomes by CRISPR/Cas” will be held December 6-8, 2017 at BRI. Attendees will receive hands-on training involving CRISPR/Cas-based knock down of target gene expression in adult worms in vitro.
